True to their promise Huawei Technologies gave back to the community of Soshanguve yet again.
Two weeks ago Huawei Technologies donated toys to the children of Sinavuma Early Learning Centre. This time Ukhosi Orphanage and Day care Centre in Soshanguve block HH received a very generous donation.
Ukhosi was established in 2008 they looks after 56 children as most of them stay with their grandparents. “The centre helps the children by giving them food and helps them to better education, “said Elizabeth Hlupheka manager.
Huawei Technologies a firm that specialises in global information and communication technology, donated R40.000.00 rand to the orphanage as their aim is to encourage better education. “There’s a great need in this centre and it is important that this kids stay in a stimulating environment and get educated,” said Portia Mvubu, PR assistant from Huawei.
This donation brought great relief as the management can now afford to manage the centre.
”I am so happy with this donation. Now we can afford to buy a fridge and a better stove. We are also in position to buy more food for the children,” said Hlupheka.
For the community of Block HH this was the best thing to ever happen to them. Jahate Mathe, a Soshanguve resident, told Rekord they were happy with what the company has done for the centre as well as for the community. ”These children are the future and they deserve to have better a good life,” he said.
